Publication Date: June 8, 2015
Cover Design: Mayhem Cover Creations
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Synopsis

It’s either the beginning or the end for Sadie James. She came to the small Adirondack town of Andora looking for a fresh start. One that didn’t include the pitying looks of strangers who saw her on the news. Only days into her new life and already she is in trouble. That is, unless the wolf in front of her was salivating at the sight of some other woman in the vast forest around her.
After killing his sister, Tyson searched for oblivion the only way he knew how to. As a wolf he could run from the life he left behind and become the animal he always was. The time between lucidness grows longer each times he surfaces. One day he won’t be able to come back at all. It was the only thing he looked forward to until a lost woman fell at his feet.
Sadie is in danger and she is blind to it. Although, it was never proven, Tyson always believed Jack was behind his sister’s ultimate demise. Now Jack has his sights set on Sadie. Can he fight the pull of the wild or will he let her face the wolves alone?

MIRA Sonic Facial Cleaning Brush Review

Description of MIRA Facial Cleaning Brush (description from Amazon)

The MIRA Facial Cleaning Brush with its soft bristles, and removeable brush head, helps keep your face clean. Sonic technology deep cleans the pores and helps better product absorption. The brush will leave the skin feeling softer.
What it does!
  • Gentle: The MIRA sonic facial cleaning brush is gentle enough to use as part of a daily cleaning routine. It helps keep the skin clean and prevents clogged pores and blackheads from forming.

  • Effective: Using a Sonic Brush is so much more effective than washing your face with your hands or a wash cloth. The sonic technology used by the brush oscillates so fast that it shakes makeup and dirt from your pores without irritating the skin. Your skin will feel softer after using the brush. Because the sonic action removes impurities from pores, creams, serums or moisturizers you use after the cleaning are absorbed much better.

  • Compact, Easy to clean: The MIRA brush has a 60-second timer to provide a thorough cleansing with every use. It's compact enough to use at home or while on the go. The one-button, one-speed brush fits your active lifestyle for beautiful, glowing skin. The brush head is removeable, making it easy to keep it clean.

  • Benefits: Multiple times better cleansing than hands alone. Leaves skin feeling and looking younger and smoother. Increases product absorption. Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Helps reduce oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes. Helps reduce the appearance of visible pores. Suitable for use with any non-abrasive cleanser.

The Plus!
  • Warranty: MIRA stands behind all its products. The MIRA facial cleansing brush comes with a one year manufacturer's warranty.

What I think!

My facial cleansing routine has mostly consisted of soap and water, usually only water. I am not a fan of some of the expensive cleansers they either dry out my skin or are too oily. I am 61 years old and I have few lines on my face. Even after quitting smoking after 20 years, the skin on my face is in decent shape, therefore I never felt the need to buy an expensive facial cleaning brush.

I was offered a chance to review this brush and I must say that my mind has been changed. I love this little handheld brush. After using this after only one time I noticed that my face felt smooth and soft.

The brush itself does not rotate, but is a gentle vibrating feeling, you have to move the brush around your face and neck. I like that feature because this brush is not abrasive to my skin. Along with an non abrasive exfoliating cleanser, my face felt all tingly. There are a lot of good cleansers out there to use too, I will keep experimenting to find one that I love.

Cleaning, all you do is pop off the head and rinse under water and let it air dry. To keep your brush head in good shape I would recommend rinsing after each use.

Overall, I like the MIRA Sonic Facial Cleaning Brush, love even after only a week or so, my face feels really clean and soft. I will definitely be using this product for a long time. The only drawback I found was that I had a hard time getting the battery cover off. Probably just me, I have arthritic hands so there is that. If you are looking for a facial brush, give this one a chance. You can read more about the product here at https://www.amazon.com/review/create-review?ie=UTF8&asin=B00X6GVKNQ.

I received The MIRA Sonic Facial Cleaning Brush from MIRA Brands for my review, I received no monetary compensation, just the product.

9 1/2 Narrow by Patricia Morrisroe Spotlight!

A funny, poignant coming-of-age memoir told through the shoes that she wore.

From baby booties to orthopedic brogues (and all the high and low heels in between) shoes mark important rites of passage, reminding us of both the good and bad times: the road not taken, the prince that got away, the missed opportunities, the traveling, the fun. Most of all, they bring to mind the people we’ve loved and sometimes lost along the way.

Combining tidbits of cultural history, Morrisroe chronicles her life as a bullied Catholic schoolgirl in “Moby Dick” brogues; a besotted college student in granny boots; an aspiring journalist in Annie Hall oxfords; a skeptical bride in her first Manolos; a reluctant fashionista in towering peep-toe pumps; and a concerned daughter, whose elderly mother hoped that her New Balance sneakers would help her regain her old balance. With wit and compassion, she introduces us to an unforgettable cast of characters, from her grandfather, who treated the family to legendary foot rubs, to her husband, whose vast collection of vintage Puma sneakers threatened to overwhelm their apartment and derail their marriage.

Morrisroe’s “coming-of-age” is, at its heart, the story of a generation of women who’ve enjoyed a world of freedom and opportunity that was unthinkable to their mothers. Spanning five decades and countless footwear trends, 9 ½Narrow is, like Love, Loss and What I Wore, about how we remember important events through a coat, or a dress, or in this case, a Beatle boot or Confirmation “wedgie.” With her charming sense of humor and irresistible voice, Morrisroe not only recounts her own story but also everywoman’s. Funny, candid and unexpectedly poignant, 9 ½Narrow is about how we grow up, grow older, and finally grow into our own shoes

Patricia Morrisroe received a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.A. from NYU. She is the author of Mapplethorpe: A Biography and was for many years a contributing editor to New York magazine. She has written for numerous other publications, including Vanity Fair and Vogue. With her husband, Lee, she divides her time between a noisy apartment in New York City and a (relatively) quiet house in Westchester County.

Stella Rose by Tammy Flanders Hetrick Review!

When Abby’s cherished best friend, Stella Rose, is dying from cancer, she asks that Abby assume custody of her teenage daughter. Although Abby has no experience with children, she says yes. Because that’s what best friends do. They say yes. This way, Olivia can remain in her home and finish high school in Vermont, rather than face the daunting challenge of moving out-of-state to live with her father. But after Stella dies and Abby relocates, Olivia becomes secretive and unpredictable. Suddenly Abby is grappling with more than raising a grieving teenager. She realizes she didn’t know Stella as well as she thought, and she discovers just how far she will go to save the most precious thing in her life.

STELLA ROSE is a beautiful novel about how powerful women’s friendships can be, what lifelines they can become. It’s also a novel about love—among friends, between lovers, and within families. It’s a tear jerker, a page turner, and a heartbreaking reminder to live life to the fullest, now.

TAMMY FLANDERS HETRICK has been telling stories all her life, refining her skills at age ten through marathon tag-team story-telling with her best friend, honing her craft through decades of business writing, and ultimately finding joy in extracurricular creative writing. She has published short stories in Your Teen Magazine, Blue Ocean Institute’s Sea Stories, and Route 7 Literary Journal.

It’s no surprise Tammy’s first novel, STELLA ROSE, features enduring friendships among strong women. She has spent much of her personal life and career helping women see their potential. In 2009 she was recognized with the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition’s Pioneering Woman Award for coaching and mentoring women in the work place.

Her passion for strong relationships among women runs through STELLA ROSE and led to the creation of an online community where women can talk about the impact of friendship in their lives – InFriendship.com – launching in February 2015.

Tammy is a director at Keurig Green Mountain in Vermont, where she lives with her husband of thirty years, their two cats, and a beagle/pitbull mix. Though Tammy loves her two grown children to distraction, she appreciates the amenities of an empty nest.

    My Thoughts
"Finally. The pain, the anguish and the struggle are over.
Well, your pain, anguish and struggle are over. Me? I'm looking over a cliff, and pain, anguish, and struggle roil below amid jagged rocks of grief.

And you know how I hate heights."

Stella Rose starts with the above paragraphs. So sad, but that is what happens when your best friend dies of cancer at such a young age, leaving behind a  teenage daughter. Stella Rose has asked that Abby raise her daughter Olivia. Abby is not sure she is up to the task, she misses her friend terribly as does Olivia. Stella Rose was a very organized woman, planned everything in her last year. What she did was pretty cool though, she prepared a years worth of monthly little gifts and letters for Abby and Olivia to open up together. Each present and letter has a meaning behind it. I think that is a pretty interesting idea, I think it helps Abby and Olivia handle the loss and grief. It doesn't make it any easier of course, but they are able to cope better.

Life does go on for the two of them, there are struggles of course but it is not easy taking over the care of a child that is not your own and a teenager at that. Teenagers can definitely be a handful, and Abby and Olivia grow close in spite of differences and disagreements.  Abby has inner dialogues with Stella Rose and through these the reader learns what kind of person Stella Rose was and how she was able to prepare Abby for what was to come.

Abby starts dating and actually has two men vying for her, she struggles with her feelings for each man, Olivia spends a lot time with her friends and time goes on for the two of them and soon the year is over. Are they done grieving? Probably not but they have learned that life does go on and you need to focus on what is important. Stella Rose was a very wise woman.

When I first started reading the book, because it started out at the very beginning of the grief process, I thought it was going to be kind of maudlin, but it was not. I found myself liking both characters a lot. Hoping through the whole book that they would be able to come in touch with their feelings and emotions. They both find that letting go is something that they can do and Stella Rose will always be with them both. I really loved this book. At times a tear jerker but uplifting at the same time. A definite must read!

I received a copy of the book for review and I was not monetarily compensated for said review.

    Learn About the Brand
goPURE Naturals was started by Erin Keyan who after becoming a mother was shocked to discover how many products contain toxic and dangerous chemical ingredients. She formulated goPURE Naturals with the goal of developing a brand that women can trust to contain only the purest and natural ingredients, while making them look and feel their best.

    My Thoughts
I love salt and sugar scrubs, I live in northern Wisconsin and the weather here changes so frequently that it wrecks havoc on my skin, in the winter especially. I was so excited when I saw that this product was for review and barely had the scrub out of the box before I used it. Salt scrubs have so many benefits to the skin, it invigorates and cleanses, exfoliates and increases circulation to regenerate the skin cells. Sea salt, derived from evaporated seawater, is full of minerals beneficial to the skin.

I love how after one use with the scrub, that my hands felt so nice and smooth and soft to touch. I tried Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub just on my hands first and then in the shower. I have to say that I am in love, after one use, my skin felt so nice, soft and and fragrant. I think that it will be very beneficial to me after continued use.

I felt like I had spent hours at the spa. I will try it next on my feet, that will be the true test.  If you are looking for a salt scrub to smooth your tired dry skin, look no further, you have to try this scrub! I highly recommend it!

*Note: As in any product that has oil in it, using in shower can make it slippery. Use cautiously.

You can learn more about goPURE Naturals at their website HERE.http://www.gopurenaturals.com/ and you can purchase Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub here at Amazon
I received a full sized (11oz) Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Powered by BrandBacker

    About Tamara
I was born in Germany to a U.S. Army family, and raised outside a small Appalachian town in western Maryland.  I’ve loved books all my life, and began to write my first novel in sixth grade, about a girl and her horse.
    The hook was set.
Since college, I’ve been pursuing the writing life as a career journalist. I’ve covered events from Columbine to 9/11. Rocket launches to inaugurals. Along the way, I’ve won dozens of journalism awards.
For many years now, I’ve lived in Virginia with my son, a dog and three cats in a tiny Colonial house (literally — it predates the Revolution). I still have my day job. But now I’m embarking on a second career picking up where I left off in sixth grade.
“The Hummingbird’s Cage” is set to publish June 2015 by Penguin NAL Accent. (Spoiler alert: There are horses.)

Hope in Every Raindrop by Wesley Banks Grand Finale Blitz!

On Tour with Prism Book Tours.

We're blitzing the Grand Finale for
    Hope In Every Raindrop
    By Wesley Banks

Best-selling author Katie Price struggles to find her next story until she happens upon America's rarest dog breed and the man that raises them. If you missed any of the stops on this tour, there's plenty of time to go back and check them out now and enter the giveaway below...

    Launch

What do you hope readers take with them after they’ve read it?

While the entire plot of Hope In Every Raindrop is fiction, the world of Carolina Dogs is based on my own experiences with the breed in Bishopville. I wanted to share this world with others, while at the same time conveying how precious life can be.

Getting Your Read On - Review

"I love the title of this book "Hope in Every Raindrop" and the running theme of it throughout the book. I also loved the dogs in this book and how they played a large roll in the life and learning of the characters."

    Wishful Endings - Excerpt

He wasn’t wearing a hat, either. It was the first time she’d seen him without one. His hair was dark brown, almost black. Short on the sides, and just enough to run her fingers through on the top. Katie moved to take a step towards him—except it wasn’t a step at all, because her foot caught on a small rock embedded in a patch of clay and she tripped. She tried to break the fall with her arms, but she had been too distracted to recover quickly enough. As she hit the ground she let out a soft whimper, her shoulder driving hard into the dirt.

    Writing Pearls - Review

"I am super impressed that this romance was written by a man it is a rare treat. That makes up for some of the slowness. I would say it’s a fun rainy day read. (See what I did there?)"

Words for the Journey - Review

"If you’re a fan of Nicholas Sparks, you’ll easily find a new favorite author in Wesley Banks. Hope in Every Raindrop is a lovely inspirational novel with a moving message, romantic charm, and lovable characters."

Story Broads - 10 Reasons to Fall in Love with a Small Town Guy

My new book, Hope In Every Raindrop is set in the small town of Bishopville, SC. A town that has consistently remained around 3,000 people in total population. A town that Kyle Walker has never left.

When Katie Price meets Kyle Walker, there are many reasons she might fall in love with a small town guy like him, but these are the top 10.

View from the Birdhouse - 5 Books on Wesley's TBR

Recently I posted my current to-be-read (TBR) list on Instagram. There were 15 books on that list, and since then I've read 3. Of course, none of those 3 were on my TBR list, but that's a different story.

Today I wanted to talk about the 5 books I'm most excited about on this list.

Mommabears Book Blog - The Inspiration for Hope in Every Raindrop

It was early spring of 2007. I was on track to graduate from the University of Florida in a couple months, and already had a job lined up in Tampa. Yet, I found myself looking through a giant green book called, "The Dog Bible."

I had spent weeks studying breeds, and narrowed it down to a breed that I had never heard of: Carolina dog. . . .

I fell in love with the dogs from the moment I saw them.

Min Reads and Reviews - Character Interview: Kyle Walker

When you read Hope In Every Raindrop, one thing you'll quickly notice is Kyle Walker is the quiet type. He's far from shy, but he tends to be more reserved, especially about himself. So, I thought it would be fun to ask Kyle some random questions that he couldn't avoid answering.

Katie's Clean Book Collection - Pimiento Cheese Burger

I decided the world needs to know about pimiento cheese,
and the greatest thing you can make with it: a pimiento cheeseburger. Of course, Kyle Walker just so happens to make one of these special burgers for Katie Price, in Hope In Every Raindrop.

    Colorimetry - Excerpt

Standing back at the edge of her porch, all she could see was a plain white piece of paper taped to her wall. Still, she could aim towards the center of the map and hit Missouri, Nebraska, or Kansas. Or for the corners and land on Florida, Georgia, New York, Maine, Washington, California, and so on. So, she picked up the dart and turned her back to the map. Counting to three, she spun back around and let the dart go without hesitation. It wasn't a perfect throw, but it stuck solidly to the wall with a thud.

Zerina Blossom's Books - Searching for the Next Great Story

My sister called the other day to check in and the first thing she asked is, "What are you doing?"

    "I'm writing," I said.

"Writing? I thought you were done with your book."

"I am. I'm writing the next one."

My Love for Reading Keeps Growing - Review

"Kyle and Katie seem to form a sweet bond even if Kyle doesn't talk much. Katie learns to love the animals just as much as Kyle, and that is when their relationship really blooms.

This is a sweet story, about loss, love, hope, and finding inspiration through others. It really is such a sweet read."

Hope In Every RaindropHope In Every Raindrop
    by Wesley Banks
    NA Contemporary
    ebook, 202 pages
    May 26th 2015

“Small towns have big stories.” That was a lesson Katie’s father taught her years ago. A lesson she’s taken to heart. And right now, Katie is desperate for a big story. Reeling from the recent loss of her father and with her agent breathing down her neck for the next book, the twenty-one-year-old writer picks a spot on the map and finds herself bound for a middle-of-nowhere town called Bishopville, South Carolina.

Taking a chance on the words of a local grocer, Katie stumbles upon a rare breed of dogs raised by the town doctor and his nephew Kyle. The only problem? Kyle isn’t interested in telling stories—especially not to a big-city girl who can’t seem to sit still. In an attempt to win him over as the clock winds down, Katie finds herself immersed in Kyle’s world, doing everything but writing.

When inspiration finally strikes, Katie is faced with an unforeseen catastrophe and a truth she can no longer ignore. While she has come to love the dogs, the real story may be about Kyle Walker.
