Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

Great Summer Reads Day 12!

Parents to four wonderful children, Jerry and Stephanie Jaeger enjoy working together as J.S. Jaeger to write uplifting, entertaining stories.

Jerry overcame bullying to earn his black belt in Kempo Karate. He served as a special agent for the FBI and currently works as a prosecutor.

Stephanie ran her own accounting practice for several years before turning her focus to writing Scrolls of Zndaria with Jerry.

Together, they are excited to bring readers of all ages into the magical world of Zndaria.

Denya’s excited to attend the Healing Hands Academy. It’s her chance to become a handmaiden, help others, and live a life of adventure.

But studying at the Academy isn’t everything she’d hoped. The headmistress and many of the students still look down on human handmaidens. It seems as quickly as she makes friends, she has to say goodbye. And just as she starts gaining acceptance, she puts the other students in danger.

Is Denya’s determination enough to see her through, or will she be sent home, back to the peasant life she’s trying to escape?
The second Short Scroll of Zndaria, Healing Hands parallels The Golden Wizard and allows readers to see the magical world of Zndaria through Denya’s eyes. Readers will be reunited with favorite characters from the main series as well as experience life in the Redwood Forest.
Buy this book today to get a glimpse into the world of Zndaria or delve deeper into the journey that began in The Golden Wizard!

Top Ten List:

1) J.S. Jaeger is a pen name for husband and wife team Jerry and Stephanie Jaeger.
2) Jerry is the creative mind behind the world of Zndaria. He puts the story on paper, and then Stephanie reworks it.
3) Our children (ages 9 - 21) play a big part in our writing process. The personalities of several characters are patterned after our children. Our older children are also part of our editing and sales team.
4) Our illustrator has worked on lots of shows for Disney, including Mary Poppins Returns.
5) Jerry is an attorney. Stephanie is an accountant. We hadn't considered writing books until Jerry began envisioning the world of Zndaria.
6) Jerry first wanted to call their world Andaria. A quick internet search showed that name was already overused. We went through the alphabet for something that rhymed with Andaria and sounded cool. We got all the way to Z before finding our winner.
7) The first page of each of our chapters has about 8 lines. We challenge people to read the first page of our books to see if they want to keep reading. Almost everyone turns the page.
8) We met the narrator for our audiobook, RJ Walker, when he stopped by our booth at the Salt Lake FanX Convention. He read the first page of The Golden Wizard in his narrator voice, and we knew he'd do a great job.
9) Stephanie loves doing author visits at schools. She's visited an international school in China and a military elementary school in Japan.
10) We once autographed a book to "Mr. Illiterate."

Great Summer Reads 2019 Part 2!

Ann has been a writer since junior high, but to pay the bills she has waited tables, delivered newspapers, cleaned other people's houses, taught school, and had a stint as a secretary in a rock-n-roll radio station. She also worked as a 911 operator and a police dispatcher.

Her fiction began to win awards during her college days. Since then she's published several short stories, novels, and novellas. She’s always reading and always writing, but even if she never sold another story, Ann would not stop writing. For her it's a necessity, like breathing. Most of the time, it even keeps her sane.

The Field By Tracy Richardson Book Spotlight! @authortracyrich

The Field
By Tracy Richardson
ISBN-10: 978-1-61254-301-7
Brown Books Publishing
Paperback: 200 pages
April 23, 2019
Genre: YA, Sci-fi, paranormal

Eric Horton sees fire.

When he sleeps, he dreams of a world screaming in the midst of devastating explosions. These dreams terrify him, and as more strange happenings unfold around him, he’s unable to shake the feeling that what he’s seeing isn’t just a dream.

When a new student, Renee, appears in his science class, he could swear he’s known her forever. But how could that be? As they get to know each other, he meets her father, who explains the experiments he’s been conducting involving “the Universal Energy Field” and “Collective Consciousness”—two things Eric has never heard of before. They seem to be tied to the idea that we are all connected by the same energy and are all more powerful than we realize. Eric begins to learn more about these groundbreaking concepts—but can they be real?

As his life continues to shift and his knowledge of the Field increases, Eric will be tested beyond anything he’s experienced before. He must decide whether he believes in that part of himself which ties him to the world around him, and he must access it—or lose everything he’s been working to keep.
Tracy wasn’t always a writer, but she was always a reader. Her favorite book growing up was A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. In a weird way, her life reflects the book through odd synchronicities. She has a degree in Biology like Mrs. Murry and without realizing it she named her children Alex and Katie after Meg’s parents. (Really, it was not intentional, because that would be weird)! Tracy uses her science background in her writing through her emphasis on environmental issues and metaphysics. Tracy lives in Indianapolis.

Desperate to help her friend prove his innocence and consumed by haunting visions, Cass follows the clues from one possible culprit to the next, including some very mysterious tourists and not a few questionable locals.
