Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

Pocket Books is excited to share UNDER THE DESERT SKY (Pocket Books; March 29, 2016; Mass Market; $7.99) by Sara Luck.
Sara Luck is known for rich historical details and engaging characters and UNDER THE DESERT SKY does not disappoint. Fans will love this story of a widowed frontierswoman and the ranch hand who might be all that stands between her and ruin.

An uncertain fate …

If someone had told Phoebe Sloan when she headed west that one day she would be running her own ostrich farm, she never would have believed it. But now that she’s widowed and raising her young son alone, her entire livelihood is riding on her flock. Phoebe will do everything in her power to keep her controlling in-laws from taking the boy and her land away, even if it means fighting relentless sabotage at every turn…and getting her own needs-and-desires in the process.

A romance to last forever…

Intrigued by the redheaded spitfire he meets while visiting Phoenix on business, Christian De Wet decides not to return home to Cape Town yet. He recognizes in Phoebe the alluring woman she no longer sees in herself, hardened by fierce independence and deserving of a strong, devoted protector. But Phoebe is unsure whether to let down her guard and possibly expose herself to scandal-until the charming stranger’s passionate kiss ignites a fire inside her that burns hotter than the desert sun.

Sara Luck is the author of eight previous romantic novels of the American West: Susanna’s ChoiceClaiming the HeartTallie’s HeroRimfire Bride, Marci’s Desire, Hearts UnboundHearts Afire, and A Family for Maddie.
