Product Description from amazon.com
Paris is stunning in the summer
NYPD detective Jacob Kanon is on a tour of Europe's most gorgeous cities. But the sights aren't what draw him--he sees each museum, each cathedral, and each cafe through the eyes of his daughter's killer.
The killing is simply marvelous
Kanon's daughter, Kimmy, and her boyfriend were murdered while on vacation in Rome. Since then, young couples in Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, and Stockholm have been found dead. Little connects the murders, other than a postcard to the local newspaper that precedes each new victim.
Wish you were here
Now Kanon teams up with the Swedish reporter, Dessie Larsson, who has just received a postcard in Stockholm--and they think they know where the next victims will be. With relentless logic and unstoppable action, The Postcard Killers may be James Patterson's most vivid and compelling thriller yet.
My Thoughts:
James Patterson teams up with  author, Liza Marklund, to create another great story. A psychological suspense that keeps the reader wanting to finish the book in one sitting. A story of murderers  that leaves young couples in Europe dead in the most gruesome ways . The detective, Jacob Kanon, is with the NYPD and his daughter and her new husband are the first victims. Jacob is determined to find out who the killers are no matter what the cost. The killers send a postcard and pictures to reporters at different countries that the murders took place in. Dessie is one of those reporters to receive a postcard. Dessie realizes that the victims are posed like some of the greatest works of art. The story is the usual fast paced Patterson style. I did enjoy the story but I do agree with some of the other reviewers in that I would like to see Mr.Patterson write books in his own style rather than team up with all these other authors. It seems that this is done just to sell a book and it takes away from the talent of the co-authors whom I imagine would do well by themselves.
I received this ebook from Net Galley and Hatchette Book Group and was not monetarily compensated for my review.

1 comment:

  1. I absolutely agree about Patterson needing to go back to writing his own books. This book should be credited to Liza Marklund, with Patterson as an editor. It's that way with all his "coauthored" books. The story is not his at all. He receives the first draft of the manuscripts and makes editing suggestions. The "coauthor" hype, using his name first and foremost, is a deceptive marketing tool designed to sell books. And it works - at the expense of his fans and his "coauthors".
