Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

Trailing cheating partners for a living makes a private investigator want to change direction.  When the PI becomes the target of a botched homicide, the investigator basks in the opportunity to detect her own attempted murder.
Natalie North works as a licensed private investigator in her father's PI agency, I Pry, Inc.  Their specialty is adulterous partners. Tired of endless days chasing panting people incapable of keeping their pants on, Natalie aches to work a case of substance.  When a murder-suicide takes place at a local diner, and Natalie becomes an object for propelling bullets, she gets her wish:  the opportunity to work gritty, felony criminal cases.
Toss into the mix a fraudulent, get-rich-quick scheme and Natalie's affections being divided between a hotshot L.A. deputy district attorney and a Hollywood actor extraordinaire, and Natalie's escapades turn into a string of hilarious calamities.

My Thoughts:
What a fun read this was for me. Murder, mayhem and humor all through the story. Natalie is a gal who works at her fathers PI agency. Meaning she gets to follow cheating spouses, take pictures and then give the bad news to the significant other. She wants to do more involved PI work, and she gets her chance when there is an apparent murder suicide. She comes to realize that someone is out to get her after some bullets go flying in her direction.  She has a variety of dysfunctional family and friends to contend with. Her parents are divorced and have been for four years but Natalie's father has a hard time letting go, so he tries to show his wife how much he cares, by becoming a bumbling stalker. There is her friend Cindy who has an assortment of get rich quick schemes that do not come to fruition, her DA boyfriend Darren whom she loves, Jett, an actor she went to high school with who she is attracted to, a crooked judge with a stripper girlfriend . This story is a fast paced laugh out loud, suspenseful kind of book that will grab you from the very first page and is hard to put down. This would make a great series!!

I received this book from the author for review and was not monetarily compensated for my review.
