About the author
Emery Lee is a life-long equestrienne, a history buff, and a born romantic. Combine the three and you have the essence of her debut novel: a tale of love, war, politics, and horseracing. A member of Romance Writers of America, she lives with her husband, sons, and two horses in upstate South Carolina.
My Thoughts:
Another great book by Emery Lee. A fast paced story of gambling, love and deceit told in the era of Georgian England where appearances mean everything. A bereft widow who is trying to make ends meet and a disowned son of an earl who has a thirst for gambling meet and form an alliance if you will. The authors impeccable research and historical settings make this book an interesting read. I highly recommend it for those romance readers who love a little bit of everything in their romance novels.
I received two copies of this book from Sourcebooks and was not monetarily compensated for my review.
