Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

  1. My favorite Heyer book was Arabella.. I laughed so much for that one! But the mystery of The Unfinished Clue still sits with me, even though I didn't think it was fantastic at the time. Isn't that strange? Another romance that I enjoyed was An Inconvenient Marriage. I would love to win some more of her books so I can laugh again ;)

  2. I discovered Georgette Heyer through these great re-issues that Sourcebooks has been putting out recently. I read my first of her work last year, and I was hooked! Her style really reminds me of Jane Austen-- so classy. I haven't read any of her "modern" books yet, and I'm looking forward to it.

    Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

  3. I love Regency Romance and wold love to read another of her books. I won Venetia a year or so ago. The wonderful things I've ever heard about Georgette's writing in another reason I'd enjoy reading her books.

  4. I was rather stuck up about what genres I would read- I was largely a classic and speculative fiction reader, but when I started reading more genres, I started softening. It wasn't until I saw several people mention Heyer as being similar to Jane Austen that sealed the deal!

  5. I discovered Georgette Heyer's books at the library years ago from the recommendation of my mother. This started my love of classics and particularly Heyer's beautiful writing. I read the romance books but would love to read the mysteries. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com

  6. An author who can write a variety of genres sounds special. I read Arabella and the other romances are very appealing too. elliotbencan(at)hotmail(dot)com
