Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

DIY Nut Milks, Nut Butters & More by Melissa King Review!

All the guidance and recipes needed to turn almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pistachios, and walnuts into nut milks, nut butters, and other healthy, whole-food treats.
Nut milk has gone mainstream. It’s lower in calories, higher in nutrients, and naturally tastier than dairy milk and other non-dairy milk alternatives. But many of the options lining supermarket shelves contain unnecessary additives and sweeteners, and those that don’t will cost you extra. DIY Nut Milks, Nut Butters & More brings nut power to the people with over 50 recipes for homemade milks and butters—and delicious, whole-food treats that put them to use!
Melissa King, the brain behind mywholefoodlife.com, has been making nut milks and butters for years. Her recipes are simple and easy, with just a handful of ingredients each and straightforward instructions. The recipes in DIY Nut Milks, Nut Butters & More are vegan, gluten-free, and paleo-friendly.
With color photographs for each recipe and helpful process shots throughout, Make Your Own Nut Milks, Nut Butters and More is the ultimate reference for making beloved whole-food nut treats at home!
My Thoughts
DIY Nut Milks, Nut Butters & More is a definitive book about the uses for various kinds of nuts. I love Almond milk more than regular milk not and have ofter wondered how to go about making it. The book starts with an introduction, the health benefits of nut milk and butters, what ingredients and what equipment is needed. There are tons of different recipes to try. I enjoyed learning about something that people don't generally think of when they use or eat nuts. I will definitely be trying some of the recipes. They look very easy.
I received a copy for review from Netgalley and was not monetarily compensated for my review.
