Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

Need a Midwinter Warm-Up? Try Organic Ancient Snow Sprout!

Ancient Snow Sprout Organic Green TeaAmerican Tea Room's Ancient Snow Sprout Organic Green Tea is one of those teas that we would all be lucky to drink the rest of our lives. A favorite amongst tea purists, technically a green tea due to light baking done to prevent oxidizing, and certified USDA organic, it's the perfect tea for a winter warm-up.

The tea is comprised entirely of large, velvety tea buds shimmery with a smooth coat of silver-sage down. Ancient Snow Sprout Organic Green Tea is hand-plucked in the Jingmai Mangjing, an ancient tea forest in Yunnan, China, considered the birthplace of tea. These trees are much larger than the average tea plant due to their complex varietal nature, and also because they are rarely pruned by the locals who pluck the tea. Indeed, they literally climb the trees to pluck the buds, as they’ve done for hundreds, even thousands of years.

The biodiversity around the plants is also, one might say, wild. The complexity of the terroir is echoed in the tea itself. The dry aroma is woodsy and honeyed, with a savory note of dried hay. The aromatic brew is the color of unadulterated extra virgin olive oil. The flavor is incredibly pure and nuanced, like a full-bodied white tea. Flavors of wild flower nectar and dried sweet grasses sing out above delicate tones of new forest growth. The finish is moistening and woodsy, a perfectly satiating end to this consummately pristine elixir.

One review posted at American Tea Room even calls Ancient Snow Sprout "the best tea, hands down." Order during their winter warmup sale on February 27th & 28th and save 15% on your tea order with code MIDWINTER. Orders over $50 ship free, too.
