Reviews!

To any authors/publishers/ tour companies that are looking for the reviews that I signed up for please know this is very hard to do. I will be stopping reviews temporarily. My husband passed away February 1st and my new normal is a bit scary right now and I am unable to concentrate on a book to do justice to the book and authors. I will still do spotlight posts if you wish it is just the reviews at this time. I apologize for this, but it isn't fair to you if I signed up to do a review and haven't been able to because I can't concentrate on any books. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate all of you. Kathleen Kelly April 2nd 2024

PRESS RELEASE

Plunged into a dangerous and unknown world of Celtic magic and witchcraft, two friends find themselves in a race against time to reunite the six missing pieces of an ancient pentacle in this dark and spellbinding adventure for older children and young adults.

“Excellent, fascinating and exciting!” Emily, aged 7

The Pentacle of Northumbria has been torn apart and the six pieces of the ancient magical star are missing. A bitter war is looming on the horizon, one which will see many clans of mythical creatures fighting against one another. On visiting Chillingham Castle in Northumbria under good witch, Vy’s protection, cautious schoolboy, Wally, is entrusted as the guardian of the ancient Pentacle, and in order to defeat these growing forces of darkness and magic, he must seek out its six missing pieces and restore them to their sacred home before it’s too late.

With his feisty friend Bessie, Wally is drawn ever deeper into a strange and sometimes frightening world where they meet many weird and wonderful creatures - goblins, elves and lyths - all of whom are governed by the ancient and wise Witch Vy. Vy guides the children through a labyrinth of mysticism, teaching them about the traditional pagan way of life that she and her charges wish to preserve peacefully.

Jeopardising this fragile balance is the self-styled Empress of Evil, Rogana - who claims to be a direct descendent of the legendary dark witch Morgana - who will stop at nothing to bring back the dictatorial style rule of Celtic culture, offering herself as the rightful leader. The rising divide between the folk of Vy and Rogana causes ripples of unrest throughout the thirteen grand covens of Britain and the Republic and quickly leads to dangerous divisions and the formation of new alliances.

Thrown headlong into a world of Celtic sorcery, Wally and Bessie find themselves pitched against Rogana as they race to find the missing pieces of the Pentacle of Northumbria and safeguard the future of the Celtic covens forever. The Pentacle of Northumbria pits human friendship and courage against the dark powers of witchcraft in a way that will excite and captivate young readers’ imaginations.

Fascinated by tales of Celtic folklore and magic from an early age, Victory L Moore has created an action-packed and rewarding story - a must-read for older children and young adults looking for new and engaging fantasy fiction.
