Kitty Conquers the Big Bully Review! @CozyBearStudio

Meet Kitty, a daring and sweet little girl who won't take anyone talking mean. When she meets face to face with the neighborhood bully, her bravery gets tested. What will happen to Kitty?

I'm a children's book author along with my husband. We each write and illustrate, but we work best together, bonking heads and scribbling madly on paper together.

I'm fueled by Earl Grey tea and my own paleo cooking. I love cooking! (And eating.) And I love training and lifting heavy things. My list of favorite things changes almost by the day, but those things are on the top of my list.

I like reading fantasy and science fiction mostly, but I'll try anything... except erotica. It's just not my cup of tea. Sorry.

Don't be shy! I love meeting new people and having a chat. Meet up with me here or find me on one of my social sites.

My Thoughts

Bullying is a terrible thing, it can make the recipient of bullying feel bad about their self, maybe even hate themselves and others and it is something if severe enough can last a child's lifetime. An adult can often just walk away from a bullying situation but it is much harder for a child.

Kitty Conquers the Big Bully is a book aimed at girls and tells how Kitty is playing at being a Knight when a bully comes along and tells her that girls can't be knights and proceeds to push her down in the mud saying that "Girls can only clean & Make cookies. Well, Kitty was not going to stand for that so she gets up and begins thinking about all of the things that girls can do or hope to do as they get older.

I think that this is a book that lightheartedly covers the topic in a positive light. Letting the reader know that a girl can do anything she sets her mind to, from being a scientist to being a superhero. Kitty realized that the bully was not going to get her down, she knew what she was capable of.

This book carries a great message, that bullying is not appropriate and should not be accepted and that when a child is young, that is the time for them to learn this valuable lesson. The illustrations are beautifully done and help the message get across. A book that should definitely be on a girl's bookshelf! I give it five stars!

I received a copy of this book for review purposes.
