Saviour by Andie M Long Book Blitz!

Saviour – (n.) A person who rescues another from danger or harm.

Taken into care, then ignored by ambivalent foster parents, Eden Stark seeks happiness through pleasure. Tired of one night stands she knowingly takes a job as a personal assistant for a couple, where the personal extends to their bedroom. When Eden goes missing, along with her employers, is she on holiday or has she been abducted?

Xavier Harrington, a one-night stand, is the last person to have seen her alive. As he assists the detectives in locating Eden, his friend Jane wonders if he has genuine feelings for Eden or is trying to save her because he couldn’t save his mother.

Will Eden be found and if so, can two broken people save each other?

18+ contains dark themes and explicit content.

Snippet 1:

‘I don’t think she’s right for us,’ says Sienna. ‘Yes she’s fantastic for the PA position, but what about other things? Look at how she’s dressed. She comes across as closed off, aloof. Very professional.’
I hear Sienna sigh. ‘The whole idea is stupid. Let’s see if she’d like the PA post. She’d be great at project managing the renovations with her business brain and we know she’s okay in the kitchen. We’ll look for someone else to live in with us or carry on as we have been. As if we can gradually drop in to conversation, oh we find you attractive, are you up to sleeping with us?’
I gasp. So it’s true.
Rushing back to the lounge, I reckon I’ve got one last shot at this.
I shrug off my jacket and place it on the back of the sofa. Then I remove my skirt and place it on top of the jacket. I’m wearing hold-up black stockings. You can see the edge of them below my white shirt. My fingers quickly undo the top two buttons of my blouse so that you can see my black lacy bra peeking out. Removing my hair from its bun, I shake it out, knowing from experience that it will fall in waves past my shoulders. Placing myself on the edge of the sofa, I sit up straight and cross my right leg over my left. If I’ve got this wrong, I’ll be leaving this property extremely red faced and half naked.
The door swings open. ‘So thanks for coming. I’m afraid we can only offer you-’ Jack stops short as he takes in the sight in front of him. He steps out into the hallway, ‘Sienna. Could you come back in for a moment?’
A few awkward seconds pass where I feel like an exhibit in an Amsterdam window. Then Sienna comes back through with another sigh. ‘Is there a problem?’
Jack gestures towards me.
‘Oh.’
I peer up at them. ‘Can we start my interview again?’

Snippet 2:

I put my hand on her chin and tilt her face towards me. ‘Why won’t you look at me?’
She hesitates before answering. ‘Who wants to come face to face with a one-night stand in the cold light of day?’
I flinch. ‘Of course.’
She pushes back a piece of that long dark hair from her face. Once again it's like I can feel it in my grasp.
‘I’d better get my shopping put away.’
‘I want to meet you again.’ I tell her.
‘Eden. Is everything okay?’ I turn my head and see a man walking from the set-back house. He extends a firm hand, ‘I’m Jack Loxley, Eden’s employer. You are?’
His tone has an edge to it. As if I’ve been found upsetting his employee rather than helping. I’m thrown off guard.

Snippet 3:

I feel like the walls of the room are closing in. Like I’m going to die. I need to try to sleep. To try to get some energy and a break from my whirling thoughts and utter panic. However, as still as I lie there, sleep won’t come. Because I fear what will happen when that door next opens.
Once again using the bathroom, as adrenaline empties my body of its excreta, I sit with my head in my hands. When I raise my head, I see writing scratched into the wall at the bottom of the sink. It’s barely discernible. I crouch down and squint my eyes. I can just make out the faint words etched there.
Welcome to Hell.
