My Thoughts

Evil At Alardyce by Heather Atkinson is the fourth in the Alardyce House historical fiction series . it is about the family that lives at Alardyce House..

This is a character-driven novel but mainly focuses on Amy's son Robert.
Robert has been living in Argentina, he made it rich, is the owner of diamond mines.

Robert left 12 years ago to make his fortune and to escape the scandal that he caused. He has some dark desires and he wanted to protect his mother and siblings from the scandal that accompanies him.

When he reads in the newspapers that his stepfather has passed away. He is wanted by the police for a series of murders that occurred. Feeling that all of that drama is gone, he decides to return home.

He finds in his stepfather's will that most everything is going to his stepbrothers. It appears that he is going to pursue his dark thoughts and turn them into reality. On the other hand, he wants things to be normal. He wants to reconcile with his wife and daughter that h abandoned. He finds that that will be a hard thing

You don't necessarily have to read the previous books to understand the story but it does help learn ing who is who, I love this author's writings and I do look forward to the next one!

I give it 5 stars!

I received a copy of the book for review purposes only.
