About Jamie Begley

“I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education. Taking after my mother, I’ve always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations. For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books. Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls. All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

Interview With The Author

1.     Tell us about things you enjoy – what you do for fun or personal satisfaction besides writing? (Covered in my top 10 favorite things, I think. If you need more let me know!
2.     When did you first realize you were an author?  My freshman year of high school my Literature teacher told me I had a gift for writing, it was a day I will never forget.
3.     Have you done anything writing-related, but besides actually writing your books, that seemed to get a lot of positive response? Something that encouraged you?  Yes, after college I worked for a temp company as a way to get to know some of the local companies. One of my short-term jobs was to cover for an assistant who was away on vacation, and the department manager asked me to write a letter to a Congressman with a summary of what it should cover. I wrote the letter, and the next thing I knew he brought the Vice President to meet me and they asked me to work for them full-time in government affairs – and so I did! That was the beginning of a 13-year career with that company.
4.     What is the thing you struggle with the most while writing? And how do you defeat it?  I struggle with outlining stories – they just come to me and that’s how I prefer to write – but sometimes I write myself into a corner and I’m not sure what direction to take. A friend recommended “Anatomy of a Premise Line” by Jeff Lyons and it has been immensely helpful! I tend to defeat the challenges I face by learning a new skill or approach to overcome it.
5.     What is the “message” of your writing?  Most of my historical romance books focus on the Suffragette Movement, and to some degree sweet contemporary romances always feature a modern-day Suffragette. I LOVE that women can vote, run a business, and share equal footing with me – I hope we never lose sight of how precious this is.
6.     What are your thoughts/feelings on ebook vs print book?  I like both, and try to publish my books (if they are long enough) in both ebook and print format.
7.     How many books do you have out? Are you planning a specific number altogether, either in this series or separately?  I have 2 books in this series and am writing a 3rd. I wrote The Prequel to the series, and readers asked for another book to answer some of their unanswered questions. I’m hopeful that will be ready to publish by Mother’s Day at the latest.  In total, I have 9 books published currently with 6 more planned for 2017!
8.     Are your characters/stores/scenes, etc. based on anything in real life?  I tend to create characters that have personality traits and beliefs similar to friends and family members. They are definitely not exact, but most of them contain something that reminds me of someone I love.

9.     What are your future projects? I have a “short reads” book planned with several of the Grandma’s Wedding Quilts authors, a sweet contemporary planned with another group of well-known authors, a secret project planned for late summer, and hope to complete the “Suffragette Choice Brides” series by the end of 2017, “Lydia”, “Susan”, and “Lucy”.

Loved By A Killer
Loved By A Killer Series Book 1
by C.F. Rabbiosi
Genre: A Sexy Paranormal Thriller

Raina loved performing upon the London stage, but one night she found herself dancing for only HIM. She froze, and looked to the balcony where the gaslights flickered dimly over his shadowy form. If only she had known that this beautiful monster would soon rip her away from everything in the world SHE EVER LOVED, perhaps she wouldn’t have lingered so long.

Marcus loved being a blood thirsty predator, but one night his gallivanting brought him to his knees in front of HER. If only he’d known what would happen when she danced, that she would remind him of someone who was everything in the world HE EVER LOVED, perhaps he would’ve turned away.

As he drags her deeper and deeper into his depraved world of torture and violence, she begins fighting with her own darkness that threatens to consume her every day. And oh, how it begs to be released. And though she knows it’s wrong, she desires her captor anyway.

Until she begins falling for someone else…

Meanwhile, prostitutes are being butchered in the streets and she begins to wonder: Is her dark lover, the one she is bound to, The Ripper?

With an accurate account of the creepy gaslit times of London and real Jack the Ripper crime scenes, Loved By A Killer is an exciting read from start to finish.

"Hot damn! are you serious?" I'm in love. I'm seriously entranced." -Nicole Horn
"As soon as I got to page 3, I was like well, I know what I'm doing the rest of the night. I loved all the real serial killers and horror, mixed with a hot romance." -Holly Byers
"I know I have things to do but this story is so good and I'm riveted. So intense." - E. B. Black
"I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down." -Sherry Aue
Beautifully written, and the story flows, gripping you from the moment you meet Lord Marcus Loxley in that first chapter. I love the intricate historical aspects of the book, the underlying Jack the Ripper story, and the uniqueness of Ms. Rabbiosi’s vampires. I absolutely enjoyed each second of this book and can’t wait to read more from this author.
-Amazon reviewer D.C. Triana

I feel like I could write a book on this book. I was instantly captivated from the very first chapter and it didn't let me go until the last page. I absolutely loved this story. Lord Marcus Loxley is a very complex character that seemed so "human" (pardon the expression considering he's a vampire), that I felt like I was experiencing everything as he was. This book had so many different facets to it. Historical London. Jack the Ripper as a back story. Crime. Lust. Greed. Poverty. Death. Blood. It was the type of story that you're sad when it's over because you're forced to leave the world you were just completely immersed in. Rabbiosi does a fantastic job with the historical elements and I cannot wait to read more by this very talented author!
-Amazon reviewer J. Saman
This was quite an interesting concept for a book. I was thrilled to find out that the events regarding the historical murders were accurate. The twists and turns of the plot are easy to follow, but not easy to predict. I'm plenty excited for the next book to come out to see what happens next! -Exposure Book Blog

Genre: Historical Fiction

Add to GR Button
In the final installment of Sally Christie’s “tantalizing” (New York Daily News) Mistresses of Versailles trilogy, Jeanne Becu, a woman of astounding beauty but humble birth, works her way from the grimy back streets of Paris to the palace of Versailles, where the aging King Louis XV has become a jaded and bitter old philanderer. Jeanne bursts into his life and, as the Comtesse du Barry, quickly becomes his official mistress.
“That beastly bourgeois Pompadour was one thing; a common prostitute is quite another kettle of fish.”
After decades of suffering the King’s endless stream of Royal Favorites, the princesses of the Court have reached a breaking point. Horrified that he would bring the lowborn Comtesse du Barry into the hallowed halls of Versailles, Louis XV’s daughters, led by the indomitable Madame Adelaide, vow eternal enmity and enlist the young dauphiness Marie Antoinette in their fight against the new mistress. But as tensions rise and the French Revolution draws closer, a prostitute in the palace soon becomes the least of the nobility’s concerns.
Told in Christie’s witty and engaging style, the final book in The Mistresses of Versailles trilogy will delight and entrance fans as it once again brings to life the sumptuous and cruel world of eighteenth century Versailles, and France as it approaches irrevocable change.
