Reunion by Lauraine Snelling Review and Giveaway

About Reunion
Keira Johnson, a 50-year-old mother of two grown sons, believes she lives a good Christian life
without secrets-- until she discovers a life-jarring fact her late mother kept hidden all her life. Kiera
was born out of wedlock, and the man she had always known as her father had adopted her as an
 infant.
Meanwhile, Keira's beloved 17-year-old niece, Kirsten, has just discovered an unwanted
pregnancy. Her boyfriend, Jose, is bound for college and Kirsten does not know what to do. As the
family comes together for a reunion, Keira and Kirsten struggle with their fractured pasts and
jumbled present. Will truth and honesty be the catalysts that allow the entire family to find peace?
Inspired by events in Lauraine Snelling's own life, REUNION is the author's finest novel to date.

My Thoughts
Reunion is a novel about tight knit family that have secrets. Keira Johnson, while taking care of her
mother's house and figuring out what to do with everything after her passing, finds her birth
certificate. What she finds totally throws her for a loop, she shares what she finds with her sister in
law Leah. Between the two of them they search the house for more clues. Meanwhile Leah's
daughter Kirsten has a secret of her own. She is just about ready to graduate high school and has
definite plans for the future, college, then medical school which has been a dream of hers since she
was little. The father of the baby, her boyfriend Jose, also has plans for college.
Leah shares the news with her husband Marcus, who is a pastor. Marcus is totally unprepared for
this news as the family is very religious and life what they preach, until now. Keira keeps her news
from her brother as she does not want to tell him anything because she wants to investigate more.
What ensues is a story that will change the two families forever, do they do the right thing because
it is expected of them and will certainly cause a scandal, or do they go with their hearts to find the
answers for the two problems the families face. Other side story's that affects the families is a
devasting tornado in another community that takes up the attention of the families, Kirsten's
graduation, and a family reunion. A heartwarming story about love, faith and doing
the right thing against all odds. This novel is a fast paced story that will keep you turning the pages.
I highly recommend it.
